Collaborating with the NY Consulate

The T&T IFC paid a courtesy visit to the Trinidad & Tobago New York Consul General, H.E. J. André Laveau, on its way to the 2019 edition of the Nexus Nearshore Conference (Brooklyn, NY). This is in keeping with the T&T IFC’s ongoing outreach to embassies and missions which have their fingers on the pulse of their respective territories and can provide real-time insights into potential investment opportunities.

As with similar visits, the team updated H.E. and his team on the work of the T&T IFC and identified strategic areas where the Consulate could assist the T&T IFC.

The visit was timely, as Vice-Consul General Cox had previously made contact with a member of the T&T Diaspora who is interested in launching a service that seemed aligned with the T&T IFC’s focus. The team was able to meet all interested parties and talks are ongoing.
