The Trinidad and Tobago International Financial Centre (IFC) and the Operational Shared Services Company Limited  (OSSCL) established by Scotiabank Canada, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on April 24th 2015.

The MoU aims to facilitate a more collaborative approach between the two organizations in the promotion of on-the-job training opportunities for local professionals in the finance and accounting (F&A) sector. This will be done through the creation of an OSSCL Internship Programme that will develop a cadre of trained professionals, with experience in banking processes.   This is part of a series of initiatives which will support the development of a scalable industry to ensure the continued flow of skilled workers into the F&A Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) space.

By participating in this MoU, OSSCL has pledged its support in providing opportunities for local professionals to gain relevant technical work experience and soft skills which will address any existing gaps.
