Michelle is responsible for driving the development of the Financial Services Sector Ecosystem with a special focus on strengthening the public financial management systems and adoption of ‘cashless’ and future ready financial services technologies, applications and systems.
She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of the West Indies, a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of the West Indies, and has professional certification in Data Science, Macro Econometric Forecasting, Public Financial Management, FinTech, Financial Development and Financial Inclusion.
She has several years of experience conducting in-depth research, performing quantitative analysis, and presenting economic concepts. Her previous undertaking of analytical research papers has also led to publications in the Journal of Economics and International Finance, the Journal of Developing Areas, and the Journal of Eastern Caribbean Studies.
