Amelia Samai-Nicome is responsible for driving value and strategic operations for the T&T IFC. Her experience and leadership have been focused on developing and delivering performance-driven business services and solutions by partnering company functions to inform integrated decision-making with robust analysis, and critical insight.

She possesses over 14 years of senior leadership and experience in strategically aligning Corporate Operations. She has executed the responsibilities of Chief Corporate Officer, Chief Governance Officer and Chief Operations Officer during her tenure. Amelia has a wealth of experience in cross-functional areas which include Operations Management, Financial Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Procurement, Human Resource Management, Change Management, Industrial Relations, Corporate Communications, Business Development and Marketing, HSSE, Facilities Management, Governance, Risk, Legal, Compliance and General Administration.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a Minor in Human Resource Management from the University of the West Indies. She also holds a triple-accredited MBA from the University of Bradford School of Management where she specialized in strategy development, alignment and execution. Amelia is also the first Trinidad and Tobago National and the second individual in the Caribbean Region to complete the Total Leader certification from Leadership Management International Inc. She also holds a Diploma in Labour Law and professional certification in Industrial Relations.

Amelia holds membership in several professional organisations, namely The Leadership Management International (LMI); the Human Resource Management Association of Trinidad & Tobago (HRMATT); the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM); the Project Management Institute (PMI); and the International Society of Female Professionals (ISFP).
